Fashioned after the well known Blue Heron, the feathers, eyes and beak are meticulously carved and painted. Painted rings and sunbursts round out this finely crafted Native American style flute.

Blue Herons are very large long legged birds that show up on waterways, lakes and ponds throughout the US. You can see them flying with neck and legs outstretched in a smooth flight pattern with a steady wing beat, gliding along looking for a place to catch fish and the other small animals they love to eat.

This is a custom made flute that created with a single piece of premium cedar wood and well tuned with an electronic tuner. It is 28" long and is in the key of G with a Blue Heron Whistle Block.

This flute is available in the keys of A, G, G#, F and F#.
